Remember, we only charge you for the version once. All incremental updates (version 3.1 to 3.2, etc.) and major version updates (such as version 3 to version 4) are free during the first year. After that, the cost is very minimal. If you have a very old version, even if it is no longer installed, you need to upgrade. If you still have your access code purchsed within the last two years, it will work, otherwise you need to purchase an update. The cost is nominal, and you receive a complete copy of the new release so it is not necessary to install the old version before installing the new. (Yes, you still receive unlimited support.)
